“Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has been nominated for nine awards at next month’s British Academy Video Games Awards.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is up for eight gongs, Batman: Arkham Asylum for seven and Assassin’s Creed II for six. 40 games have been recognised in total.

This year’s event, to be held on Friday March 19 at the London Hilton on Park Lane, will also feature the publicly voted category – the GAME Award of 2009. Last year’s public award went to Call Of Duty 4, while Super Mario Galaxy was named best game.”
